Commitments made at COP28 coupled with enduring geopolitical tensions have reinforced the importance of accelerating the energy transtion in a manner that supports transatlantic energy security and competitiveness. Through development and deployment of new and innovative technology solutions, including sustainable fuels and fusion, the G7 countries can more effectively balance the pressure of achieving net-zero emissions with ongoing global challenges. This half- day convening alongside the 2024 G7 Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy and Environment will bring together government, civil society, and industry leaders to identify and promote policy solutions at this crucial moment.
